This year marked the first-ever college category for the Nutri Quiz, and Helping Hands College seized the opportunity to shine against their worthy opponents from Philippine Advent College – Talinga Extension.
Ms. Yhanie Preciado and Ms. Justin Gabriella Paculanang from the Computer Department secured the championship title. Their outstanding performance highlighted their proficiency in nutrition and their ability to think quickly under pressure, ultimately leading them to victory over their rivals.
Adding to the college’s success, two teams from the Education Department also placed in the top rankings. Mr. Roberto Lumenta and Mrs. Ivy D. Amagon clinched 4th place, while Ms. Mary Joy Dela Cruz and Ms. Bebster Rose Caballes secured 5th place. These achievements reflect the college’s commitment to providing comprehensive education in nutrition and related fields.
“Expect the unexpected things to happen when you trust God, not just your own capabilities,” said Ms. Yhanie Preciado, reflecting on their victory. Ms. Justin Gabriella Paculanang added, showing gratefulness and faith, “We prepared diligently, but we also relied on our faith to guide us. This win is a testament to the power of perseverance and trust in a higher purpose.” The success of the students would not have been possible without the guidance and support of their dedicated coaches, Ma’am Jonelyn Rusiana and Ma’am Hanny Denzon. Their expertise and mentorship played a crucial role in preparing the students for the competition.
